Almost Paradise

Located at the beautiful pacific coast of Guanacaste,
the "Nosara area" has three beaches: Guiones, Pelada & Nosara plus the Rio Nosara.

It's a famous area for surfing and perfect for many other outdoor activities
like horseback riding, sportfishing, nature walks...

Nosara lays between Samara and Tamarindo, next to Ostional (famous turtle beach).

We are very close to Playa Pelada (100m), a little up a hill -
that's why we have a fantastic view over the Pacific Ocean!

To Playa Guiones (many surf schools) it's only a 15min walk.
And to the city of Nosara it's about 3 km.

Arriving by bus:

The Alfaro Bus leaves San Jose at 5:30 am and arrives at Nosara around noon.
From Nicoya's main bus station the local bus (Traroc) to Nosara runs 5 times every day from 4:45 am to 5:30 pm.
This ride takes about 2 hours and is usually great fun!

Our bus stop is called "5 Points" or "Playas de Nosara".
That is about 3km ahead of the village of Nosara!

Ask the busdriver to let you out at "Playa Pelada" and then follow the signs!
From there it's only a 10 to 15 min walk heading towards Playa Pelada.
We are just between the Mexican Restaurant "Panchos" and the Bar & Restaurant "Bar Olga".
Or give us a call and we send a taxi to pick you up at the bus station!

Arriving by car:

You can either take the same way as written above and then drive up
and turn left just before the beach "Playa Pelada" and left again to get to the main entrance of our hostel.
Or you turn left half a kilometer before the bus station and follow there the signs to Almost Paradise.

Arriving by plane:

You can also fly to Nosara with NatureAir.
And if you let us know when you'll arrive we send a taxi to pick you up from the "airport".
